Clayton Phillips

CLAYTON PHILLIPS (director of Gypsy) is thrilled to be making his directorial debut here at Interlakes Theatre.  Clayton is the former Producing Artistic Director for The Barnstormers Theatre in Tamworth.  He is the recipient of several New Hampshire Theatre Awards including Best Director and Best Musical this year for his production of Cabaret at The Winnipesaukee Playhouse last summer. Most recently he directed Beauty and the Beast at Arizona Broadway Theatre, High Society at Winni Playhouse, Addams Family at Jeans Playhouse in Lincoln and My Three Angels at The Barnstormers.  Clayton was Harold Prince’s Assistant for the national tours of Kiss of the Spider Woman, and Parade and has directed Kiss of the Spider Woman in Tokyo and Buenos Aires. He has also directed the NETWorks tours of Show Boat and Kiss of the Spider Woman.  Other regional credits include Ruthless, The Musical, The Full Monty, The Mousetrap, Leading Ladies, Sleuth, Falsetto’s, Our Town, Of Mice And Men, Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf, Into The Woods, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Chicago, and Hairspray, to name a few.  Thank you, Nancy Barry, for inviting me to your party.
