Interlakes Summer Theatre’s Junior Interns continue their 5th Anniversary Children’s Series with a fun filled musical adaptation of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Tap your imagination and join Charlie Bucket as he’s swept up in Wonkamania. The legendary candy man Willy Wonka has announced that five golden tickets hidden in chocolate bars sent around the globe will guarantee the finders a tour of the Wonka Factory and it’s Charlie’s only wish to discover one. The high energy show features hilarious comedy, musical mayhem, dancing Oompa Loompas, and a call to creativity.
The cast is filled with local children including Hannah Touhy of Holderness, Abby Scott of Tamworth, Margaret Gocha of Plymouth, Skyler Alexander of Grafton, Kellee Gilcreast of Moultonborough, Jeanne Puglisi and Maya Yelle of Center Harbor, Michelle and Emma Joanis of Windham, Robbie Sassan, Kayla Sassan, Megan Fountain, Julie Harrington, Emily Wild, and John Findlay of Meredith, and Bryan Rowell of Braintree, MA.
A professional team of Mark Hoffner (director), Emily Ellett (musical director), Jordan Haskins (choreographer), Sam Vawter (production designer), and Lindsey Brissette (stage manager) guides the young cast.
Charlie runs less than an hour and will be performed at the air conditioned Interlakes HS Auditorium on July 27 and 28 at both 11 AM and 1 PM. All tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Interlakes Summer Theatre box office.
